What do vaping liquids (e-liquids) contain?

All the e-liquids that you can buy in VapVip are composed of variable amounts of these five ingredients:

1. Propylene glycol (PG):

   Must be pharmaceutical grade and is the element that generates steam. It is a safe substance since it is also used as an additive for asthma inhalers without known serious adverse effects and as a food additive (E1520) in a multitude of foods. It can be said that it is a compound with a very low risk. It is also used in conventional cigarettes to provide moisture to tobacco.

2. Vegetable glycerin (GV):

   Also called glycerol. For your safety, it must also be pharmaceutical grade. It is hypo-allergic, it is not carcinogenic, it is not teratogenic, and it is not mutagenic. It is metabolized by a well-known process called beta-oxidation. Vegetable glycerin is safe when ingested, inhaled, or comes in contact with the skin.

3. Nicotine:

   The concentration of nicotine in vaping liquids ranges from 0 mg/ml to 18 mg/ml. Even though there are higher concentrations, from VapVip we do not recommend them. Nicotine is also used as an agricultural insecticide. Make sure that the nicotine in your liquid is pharmaceutical grade.

4. Flavours:

   Food-type aromas that give it the flavor. In order to inhale them safely, they must be soluble in water.

5. Deionized water.

E-liquids come in a wide variety of tobacco flavors, menthol and fresh, or fruit, drinks, sweet flavors and some salty flavors. There are hundreds of them.

In spite of everything, and in response to a question that they usually ask us, there is no e-liquid that really knows the brand of cigarettes that you usually smoke. There are e-liquids, mostly of Chinese origin, that are named after well-known tobacco brands, but the resemblance really is only in the name.

What are nicotine salts for vaping?

Vape liquids can include two types of nicotine:

• Normal Free Base Nicotine

• Nicotine salts

We recommend e-liquids with nicotine salts for someone who has just quit smoking and finds regular e-liquids offering little satisfaction or an annoying scratchy throat. These liquids with nicotine salts continue to grow in popularity in recent years.

We do not advise using nicotine salts in sub-ohm or high wattage atomizers.

Nicotine salts have some interesting advantages over traditional freebase nicotine:

FASTER NICOTINE DELIVERY

Nicotine salts, due to their structure, are more biocompatible for human cell membranes than pure nicotine. As a result, nicotine salts enter the blood system much faster than normal freebase nicotine, usually within 7 to 10 seconds of inhalation.

A SOFTER "THROAT HIT"

Thanks to their acidic nature, nicotine salts have a lower pH than free base nicotine. As a result, the aerosols derived from them are not alkaline, which can result in less irritation of the throat and upper respiratory tract.

MORE POWERFUL NICOTINE

Since nicotine salts are less aggressive when inhaled, nicsalt e-liquids can be vaped at higher nicotine concentrations (without irritation), and as a result, they meet the nicotine demand faster. For this reason, nicotine salts can be an interesting alternative for ex-smokers or smokers who want to quit smoking.

LESS IMPACT ON FLAVOR

Nicotine salts tend to have less of an effect on the flavors in the e-liquid than free base nicotine.
