- FRESH FINISHA refreshing note that rounds out the taste.
What are Energy Pouches?
Energy Pouches are small oral sachets placed between the lip and gum and removed after the recommended time. They offer a portable caffeine format without water or preparation. Denssi Energy Pouches are nicotine-free and tobacco-free: they are neither snus nor nicotine pouches.
Convenience does not remove caffeine-related risks. 100 mg is the labelled caffeine content of each pouch; it does not establish exactly how much or how quickly each individual absorbs.
How to use caffeine pouches

- Open the can and take out one pouch only.
- Place it between your upper lip and gum. Do not bite, chew or swallow it.
- Leave it in place only for the time specified by Denssi. The manufacturer gives a general maximum of 30 minutes; follow your pack if it differs. Remove it early if you feel discomfort.
- Take it out and dispose of it in a bin. If the lid includes a used-pouch compartment, use it only for temporary storage.
Essential rules: use only one pouch at a time; avoid combining it with other caffeine sources; change the placement area; remove the pouch if your gum becomes irritated or you feel unwell. Shorter use does not guarantee a known or safe dose.
Understanding 100 mg of caffeine
Each Southern Boost pouch contains 100 mg of caffeine, slightly more than the approximate 90 mg in a 200 ml cup of filter coffee cited by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Its peach iced tea flavour does not mean that its caffeine content is comparable to an ordinary iced tea drink. Count caffeine from coffee, tea, cola drinks, chocolate, energy drinks and supplements too.
For healthy adults, EFSA reports that single intakes up to 200 mg and daily intakes up to 400 mg spread throughout the day generally do not raise safety concerns. These are not target doses, pouch-specific limits or a guarantee of safety for people with medical conditions, medication use or increased sensitivity. EFSA also notes that 100 mg can disrupt sleep in some adults.
If you are new to caffeine, 100 mg may be a high starting amount. A lower-strength product or avoiding use may be more appropriate. Do not assume that removing a pouch earlier delivers a calculable lower dose. Avoid caffeine in the hours before bedtime, especially during the preceding six hours, and do not repeat while effects continue.

Safety advice, contraindications and warning signs
Who should not use them?
- People under 18; pregnant or breastfeeding people.
- Anyone sensitive to caffeine or allergic to an ingredient.
- People with high blood pressure, arrhythmia or another cardiovascular condition, anxiety, epilepsy or sleep disorders, unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
- People with mouth sores, injuries or gum irritation.
- If you take medicine or have a medical condition, ask your doctor or pharmacist before use.
Possible side effects
Caffeine may cause jitteriness, tremors, anxiety, palpitations, nausea, headaches or insomnia. Excessive exposure may lead to serious heart rhythm disturbances, confusion or seizures. Oral pouches may also cause local gum discomfort or irritation. Do not add more pouches merely because the effect feels weak.
What if you feel unwell or a pouch is swallowed?
- Remove the pouch and stop all caffeine intake.
- Call emergency services immediately (112 within the EU) if you experience chest pain, breathing difficulty, fainting, seizures, severe confusion or significant palpitations.
- If a pouch is swallowed, especially by a child, or you suspect excessive exposure, seek poison advice immediately without waiting for symptoms. In Spain, call +34 91 562 04 20 (24/7) and keep the packaging at hand. Do not induce vomiting. Elsewhere, contact your local poison centre.

Southern Boost Energy Pouches FAQ
How much caffeine is in each pouch?
Each Denssi Southern Boost Energy Pouch contains 100 mg of caffeine. The can contains 15 peach iced tea-flavoured pouches.
Does it contain nicotine or tobacco? Is it snus?
No. These are caffeine pouches without nicotine or tobacco, not snus or nicotine pouches.
How long should a pouch stay under the lip?
Denssi gives a general maximum of 30 minutes. Follow your pack instructions and remove it if you experience discomfort.
Can I use two at once or immediately use another?
Do not use more than one pouch at a time. Include all sources of caffeine in your intake, follow the pack directions and avoid repeat use while the effects are still present.
Are they suitable if I am new to caffeine?
100 mg per pouch can be a high amount for someone without caffeine tolerance. Consider a lower-strength option or avoid use. Shorter contact time does not provide an exact lower dose.
Can I chew or swallow the pouch?
No. Keep it between the lip and gum without chewing or swallowing, then dispose of it. Seek poison advice if it is accidentally swallowed.
Can minors or pregnant or breastfeeding people use these pouches?
We do not recommend these Energy Pouches to anyone under 18 or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
