Coils Guide: Find your perfect draw
The EC series is extensive, covering all your sub-ohm vaping needs. Choose the one that best suits your mods power:
- 0.3 ohm (30W - 80W) & 0.5 ohm (30W - 100W): The traditional Kanthal wire version. A fantastic balance between temperature and longevity. Ideal for early iJust or Melo 3 kits.
- EC-M Multihole 0.15 ohm (30W - 75W): Built with a multi-hole mesh plate. The heating is brutally fast, expanding the flavor of fruity and sweet liquids from the very first millisecond.
- EC-N Net 0.15 ohm (30W - 75W): Manufactured with a net-shaped mesh. It provides a stronger, punchier throat hit and generates a slightly higher vapor temperature.
Frequently Asked Questions about Eleaf EC Coils
What type of e-liquid should I use?
Since these are sub-ohm coils intended for direct-to-lung (DL) vaping with large wicking ports, they are meant for thick liquids. We recommend using juices with at least 70% Vegetable Glycerin (VG). Do NOT use nicotine salts, as you may feel dizzy due to excessive vapor intake.
Which one is better, the regular wire or the mesh (ECM/ECN)?
If you are looking for a warmer vape and giant clouds, the mesh offers superior performance because it heats a much larger area of cotton at once. If you prefer a slightly restricted draw and want to save battery life, the traditional 0.3 or 0.5 ohm versions are for you.
